About

Paul mainly writes comedy and projects based around titles that have a pun in them. He has written professional script reports, short films, magazine features, and worked as a script supervisor, but is mainly focussed on trying not to get a job while developing his own schemes, which include scripts, books, and swearing on the Internet.

Paul likes writing, learning, teaching, and travelling. His main ambition, however, is to retire. To this end, his unemployment represents a continuing personal success.

Background

Paul studied Scriptwriting for Film and Television at the Skillset Screen Academy and Center for Excellence in Media Production at Bournemouth University, gaining a First class honours degree in 2009. He also scored one goal for his university football team Get Your Team Out.

Soon after that goal, he was invited to join a cross-platform production program with Crossover, designing creative, interactive experiences for television, with pitching sessions, practical workshops, and master classes delivered by industry professionals, culminating in a final pitch to broadcast producers and commissioners in 2010.

Since then, Paul has been involved in script development, writing professional coverage, script supervising for short and feature-length films, and further joblessness whenever possible. He is currently in Berlin, writing books and jokes, and occasionally embroiled in the shambolic business operations of The Hipstery.
